I don't seem them used much at all.....they're really useful when you're fighting on the inside of a taller fighter. I just think that people aren't adept at throwing a sequence of elbows in UFC like they can with punches. Good muay thai fighters can throw 4 or 5 quick, short elbows coming from different angles in a combination

Under utilised weapon in my opinion, though with Chute Boxe coming over, maybe we'll see some

I'll tell you personally. Getting hit with a elbow hurts a hellva lot more than getting hit with a punch.

You have it wrong. In the UFC no downward or diagnoled elbows are allowed meaning you can only throw straight elbows (kind of like a hook). These are REALLY easy to block and you have to get in very close to throw them.

In MT, you have all the different variations of elbows so it is easy to throw combos with them.

I agree with you though, people should still use them more as they are underutilized.

He has already shown what a well placed knee can do, the overall clinch game in the UFC fucking sucks and i am glad Anderson is there because he knows what to do in the clinch.
