Have dishnetwork.

Ok ..wow..i finally called. Total it will cost me 190 USD bucks for the first month if I wanted to watch the HDnet channel. This is all on top of my normal cost for tv... thats just unaffordable and unbelievable.

I have an HD tv, but no hd receiver.

Total upgrade cost ..with DVR and HD receiver ..will cost 150 USD one time fee.

Since i have the most basic tv programming, I need the normal classic package...30 USD a month, and then 10 USD a month for the HDNET package. This package doesnt even include HDNET movies channel..thats another package for 10 USD a month.

With the normal HDNET package you get other sports channels..like NHL live. ???

Unaffordable and crazy cost just to get HDNET for me....

Gonna stick to "alternate sources"...

and all this doesnt even include tax !

new jersey sales tax 7 %....

.....

Uverse gets HDnet. There Raw feeds of MMA in Japan is pretty cool. The only thing is when its live, there is ALOT of time to kill. Still, staying up till' 6am watching DREAM is pretty cool.

I live less than a mile from Boston and can't get hdnet. I can see Boston from my house but don't get hdnet.

I called comcast and he said they have like 100 more hd channels for Boston but because I live in somerville(like 1 min. From Boston) I don't get any of them. The comcast rep. said that they don't have the bandwidth yet in my area only actual parts of Boston. He did say they were expanding their bandwidth to the surrounding areas but didn't really give a timeline.

This all sucks because I would love to have hdnet but there's no way I can.....

.....
check into DISH resellers - most of the ones in Texas offer a free HD DVR with subscription, and it you change your HD package you should be able to get the benefits of new packages. Either that, or check into your monthly contract to see if you are month-to-month.

Yes. Dish Network has it. But you need to be subscribed to their HD package of course.
