well HDnet is available but there's a blank screen...is it only for HD tvs?

Charter Cable in St. Louis, MO. Yes we get HDNet, and I love it. I've had a few issues when trying to record programs, however. Sometimes the DVR continues recording well after the scheduled event is over, and I have to stop it manually. Other times, I only get half of my scheduled program. I'm not sure why this happens, and I know that it's not a problem with my DVR since the only channel it ever happens with is HDNet.

I got HDNet finally during the DTV upgrade, but the only thing I watch is MMA. All the other shows aren't that great.
