Difference between boxing and MMA reporters/fans

from boxinginsider.com:
Quote:
But the truth always comes out Leonard. We discovered why Tyson never wanted to fight Lennox. We learned why Roy never wanted to mess with Tarver. We learned why Tito Ortiz did not want to go to war with Chuck Liddell.
this is what would be said in a typical article on MMA or from your "hardcore" fan:
Quote:
But the truth always comes out. We learned why Tito Ortiz did not want to go to war with Chuck Liddell. We discovered why Tyson never wanted to fight Lennox, who by the way, would get completely destroyed in a real fight by an MMA fighter, boxing is dying, MMA is taking over, every top boxer would get killed by an average MMA fighter, I can't believe people even watch boxing anymore because MMA is much more exciting, boxers use pillows on their hands while MMA fighters are using 4 ounce gloves which only are made to protect the hands, boxing is dying and MMA is taking over

So you quote one and make up the other? Two quotes would have been better.

If you don't like it, don't visit these sites.

no I just felt like pointing out how stupid the hundreds of posts on this board are about why boxing sucks compared to MMA, or why every boxer would get killed in a real fight is, they are two different sports, the fact is most boxing fans could care less about MMA and it is the complete opposite with so many MMA fans, and for a sport that's "dying" it's doing pretty good for top boxers making 8+ mil a fight

i will say that MMA fans including most sherdoggers arent very educated. these same people who do nothing but ride coat tails of winning fighters, bash fighters, hate on anything not related to MMA, etc... are the same people who BOOOOO when the fight hits the ground. eventaully they will get burnt out on all the MMA they see and move on to the next spectacle. these type of fans never stay fans for long.

99% of the people on sherdog wont admit it, but i can tell a fair weather fan from a real fan just by reading a few of their post. the fair weather fans out number the real fans atleast 20 to 1.

everyone on sherdog tries to sound educated, but im not fooled. i can spot the retards left and right. this is why MMA will NEVER surpass boxing. go to any boxing forum and all you see is nothing but repsect for the sport and the fighters, no matter their record. these are the type of fans that will stick around forever. lose a few close fights in MMA (nick diaz) and people are saying you should retire. even though you still in your early 20's!

not to mention that the general consensus was about 50/50 in the silva leben fight here on sherdog. after the fight went down, EVERYONE was instantly a long time die hard silva fan and knew that he was going to win all along.

Boxing fans are pretentious nerds who couldn't throw a punch to save their life, yet feel like they have magical powers to predict how a boxer would win/lose, and in which round.

The majority of MMA fans are just fucking stupid.

I wish I was a fat kid whose mom paid for his PPV's, I would save some money then.

the real problem with the comparison is that they are two different sports, and not all mma fans ramble on like that, although alot do.and by making this thread, and wording it the way you did,it's just stirring the pot....
