If you want pretty precise fighter profiles, check out wikipedia.com. 90% of the time, their dead on. Sherdog is crap when it comes to listing height.

Diego is listed a 5 foot 11 by the UFC, he could be shorter. Hughes is listed at 5 foot 9 and he says that he is only 5 foot 8, so it’s possible that Diego is shorter than he is listed by the UFC. Diego is thicker than GSP but I don’t think he has any more muscle than GSP, I think he carries around a little more body fat than GSP. I really doubt that Diego is stronger than GSP.

The way I see it, Diego is GSP before his first fight with Hughes. Great talent, lots of determination, but missing a little of experience and maturity. Maybe also a loss. Most great athletes learn much more from a loss than a win.

No way! 10-15 pounds is a lot of weight, Diego is a big welterweight and I bet that they both walk around at over 190 pounds before training camp starts, the difference is that GSP would be leaner.

I have to totally agree with what you said about Hughes chin. Most people here have a very bad long-term memory. They can only recall the last 2-3 fights at most

I think GSP has better skills in every aspect of mma to the only thing you could compare would be cardio and that is prolly equal but GSP is a black belt in jui jitsu under Renzo Gracie i hardly doubt that Diego can be much better than GSP at submission if he is even better than him at that GSP is just so good at everything else he doesn't usually have to submit his opponent. I think GSP should be able to beat Diego no problem it maybe tougher than Serra but I don't see Diego having any skills better than GSP

Don't you think that GSP has always been very technical in his fights? I don't see Diego's technique or talent level as equal to GSP before his fight with Hughes, nor do I see him ever catching up.
