Diego Sanchez's skills vs GSP's skills
I've seen quite a few GSP fights, but I haven't seen any of Diego's. He's record is defenetly good, but it's always a relative indicator.
Considering the great possibility of the two fighting (in the near future) I want to know what you think how Diego's skill (BJJ, wrestling, boxing...) compare to GSP's.
So I'm just curious about your opinions.

GSP has a sprawl to die for. GSP has better striking. GSP wear a more fashionable mouthguard. That's 3/3 for GSP totalling complete domination.

I'd say GSP has better everything. Other than pure animosity. Still believe it would be a great fight. Diego is the 2nd most well rounded fighter at 170.

GSP has better standup although diego was worked really hard at improving and punches damn hard.
GSP has better wrestling.
GSP has fought better competition.
They are probably even in subs although i have no evidence to back me up either way.
Diego has retard strength and great cardio and can never be counted out when compared to other fighters in that weight class because he is constantly improving. in my opinion.

Diego has him in cardio, and maybe, maybe wrestling. GSP has him in just about everything else. GSP by UD, Diego is still one tough, scrappy little bastard, but I don't see him being able to pull this one out.

For me its too hard to say, because Diego hasnt really been tested yet. All of his fights have been against cans, besides Karo. So its hard to tell how good his skills are until they are tested against better fighters. I think this fight with Kos will at least show how good his takedown defense is.

GSP has better standup and takedown defense. Diego's boxing is constantly improving so its not like he couldn't hurt GSP on the feet. I think Diego could take GSP down if he is able to incorporate some head movement and can put something in his face and get in the clinch.
I'm not sure how good GSP is off his back especially with the pressure Diego could put on him, but Diego if it goes to the ground will probably put him there at some point. Diego has way better stand up than Matt Hughes and has a better chin, I think he'll be able to atleast make a competitive fight out of it.

i dont think diego has gsp in cardio, they both go go go, it would be equal i dont think ive even seen gsp breathing out of his mouth even after the war with bj penn. Diego was tired at the end of the karo fight, but the pace they fought who wouldnt be? but he definatly does not have gsp in wrestling gsp was able to take down hughes and trigg, also havent been taken down by penn, hughes, in thier last fight and sherk. he also stuffed jay hierons shots pretty easily who was a multiple time all american wrestler, diego was a good high school wrestler thats about it karo took diego down multiple times but couldnt take gsp down at all

Yeah Nick Diaz is a can, and so is Joe Riggs. Nick Diaz is a pretty damn solid fighter, and Joe Riggs maybe isn't the best guy but he hasn't been knocked out since he was a heavyweight and Diego has such heavy hands he was able to drop him and ko him.
