Title Shots

IS ANYONE FED UP WITH tuf and title fights going hand in hand?? for some reason it just cheapens the whole thing for me. a title fight should mean a lot more then tv ratings but thats just me. thoughts?

Yes it sucks. The WW belt just personified it. First we have to wait for Serra to do the show, THEN he gets injured so we have to wait even longer.

i know what tuf did for the ufc and for north american mma but do they really think everyone would stop watching if they had say bas and gracie coach a season?? or militech and jackson?

im not a big fan of TUF but i do like the fact that it gives some of the lesser known fighters a way to get their name out there.

Well, TUF 4 was a bit screwy.
I actually think it was designed to feed a couple of easy wins to the champions.

GSP would be fed Serra while Hughes got Lytle before an epic rubber match for the title.

TUF would make people 'believe in Serra' and those TUF fans would drop their jaws when their TUF champ gets run through by GSP. They'd see what a real champ looks like. In the bar I was at there were a lot of people that thought Serra would win. I scoffed.

Things don't always go as planned.

TUF definatly needs to go a few season WITHOUT interfering in Title matches.

I'm against champions being coaches.
I'd actually prefer if they replaced 'coaches' with 'schools and camps.'

You could have high profile fighters swing in for a couple of episodes 'to help coaching duty.' But I don't much care for the coaches angle anymore.
