Icon4 Did you see this bullsh*t on 20/20?...

The 20/20 tv show interviewed this guy with no arms and no legs who wrestled in high school. He went on to say his handicap isn't going to stop him from doing anything. As much as I want to see the guy succeed in his dreams, I was floored by his closing comments--he talked about becoming a CAGE FIGHTER!!! Now, I think he might have an advantage in the sense that he can't be submitted by arm/legbars. On the other hand, he is going to have a serious disadvantage stopping the neck chokes, blocking the strikes, and performing his own strikes and submissions. I hope he comes to his senses before he gets killed. The sport of wrestling (and the protections it grants) is quite different from MMA.

(here is a internet article summary of the tv interview)

Pride would love to have him. They like weird fights like that.

Have that dude take on Giant Silva....

They might have to have a lower weight class for him......another thought, could you kick him or is he considered a "downed opponent"?

I've actually seen a guy with no arm and no legs wrestle in a submission wrestling tournament. The Arnold Gracie in Ohio in 2005. He lost....but everyone applauded. It's pretty weird.......he moves like a horny smurf, agitating the remaining limbs that he has to move. It must be the same guy

I'm not a mean person but the only thing running through my mind is visualizing Sakuraba doing one of his usual jumps over this kids head, getting him in a head lock and giving him noogies until he pisses his pants.

Again I'm not a mean person but I would laugh my ass off if that happened.

he'd get punted outta the cage at the start of every fight, kinda like the male cheerleaders that use those slingshots to hurl bundled tshirts into the audience

did anyone watch the video? this is a great inspirational story and all, but how can you wrestle that guy? it was actually shocking to see how he moved.
