TS: Massive failure, possibly the dumbest sh*t I've ever seen posted on Sherdog.

Get off the hate train.

Did he even come up with all of those ideas or was it a joined effort within a group of people?

That is why they didn't make those deals happen and they are better off for it. Do you actually think they would be better off had they made any of those deals happen?

Affliction has an AWESOME stock of fighters. If it's the fighters that matter, why did their first PPV only sell 100k PPVs?

Why did the WFA fail?

Why did Pride fail?

Why is Dream failing?

It's the not the fighters, it's the leaders. Poor leaders (EliteXC) can ruin any Org no matter how good the fighters. Good leaders can even make mediocre fighters into profitable organizations. (See KOTC) Ultimately, you need good fighters, but workers are always in good supply. Great managers? They are VERY hard to find.

The UFC is no different from any other business. Worker bees are a necessity, but easily found and replaced. Great leaders are rare and priceless, thus they are paid more.

Excellent post. 100% agree.

Actually he didn't even come up with the idea. I think one of the Fertitas did, and Dana was against it. I agree with you though, he got lucky and is still lucky. If he wasn't bff or whatever with the owners, he would have been canned for a guy with some reason.

I have no idea where most of you have gotten your ideas about Dana White and the success of the UFC...

Yes it's true. Dana White talked the Fertitas into buying the UFC for 1 milion dollars...Here is what you're forgetting...

Dana ran the UFC 36 million dollars in debt, and was looking for a buyer. He got someone to go as high as 4 million. They were ready to sell until the last moment Lorenzo decided not to and go with a last ditch effort. That last ditch effort was known as The Ultimate Fighter, which also happens to be something Dana White was totally against....I have no idea where some of you have the idea Dana came up with the idea of TUF because that simply never happened.

So tell me? Why exactly wouldn't the UFC be were it is today without Dana White....

Why can everyone readily accept the fact that Dana didn't like TUF when it pleases them, but then at the same time blame him for every other one of UFC's "failures."

I just don't get why people act this way.
