Post Anbers comments about Mayweather in MMA

Anyone from Canada that has TSN and watched "In This Corner" with Russ Anber last night, please post what he said about Mayweather's comments on MMA. He was supposed to give a fair analyisis of how Mayweather or other pro boxers would do in MMA.

I'm not from Canada or I would have watched it myself.

So, little help please from Canadian sherdoggers!

I'm a bit interested as well. Any news? Hope someone from the boxing comunity shuts up Mayweather idiotic mouth, and gives credit where credit is due; MMA is the greatest sport in history.

No doubt man, I would love to see Mayweather or any other pro boxer try their hand at MMa. If all they trained was boxing, they would get their asses handed to them.

I'm listening to last nights pod-cast right now, if it's on there, I will post what he said.

Just finished it, no mention of Mayweather on the pod-cast.

I saw the show this evening. His response was that MMA and boxing isn't a fair comparison, two completely different things. Said it was like asking how a golfer (i think? or was it bowler?) would do in a curling match. Also made a joke about how surprised he was to hear Floyd was running his mouth.

His response was very short as it was part of his final flurry segment where he answers a bunch of questions in 3 minutes.

I would say it's like comparing checkers and chess. Boxing is only one component of MMA and even tho PBF is the best boxer P4P he still wouldn't do well in MMA without some serious training. For him to run his mouth on something he obviously knows nothing about is insulting and makes him look like an idiot.

Dana White comments on Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Irritated by the criticism pugilist Floyd Mayweather Jr. made about MMA and the UFC, and mainly Chuck Liddell, White went public in defending his brood.

“Mayweather said he would give a million dollars if Chuck would defeat a good boxing heavyweight. What about paying one million to see if a good heavyweight can stand up to Liddell in MMA? Or even better, I will put down a milllion dollars of my own money
if Mayweather could sell 10 tickets without the help of Oscar de la Hoya,” said White, referring to the fight between Mayweather and De La Hoya, a success in terms of spectators, set for May 5th.

After his irritation had subsided White talked of the initial comparison Mayweather had made: “Boxing and MMA are completely different. You distribute your weight differently, since you have to worry about takedowns and kicks. Boxing and MMA are like apples and oranges,” he completed.

Not that I support what Mayweather said but it's pretty much the pot calling the kettle black for Dana White to respond.
