This is so funny. The other posters I mean not your reply. As you know as well as me the epidermis is the outer layer of skin and we shed it every three days or so depending on moisture and what not. People lose their entire epidermis on a regular basis. It's normal and definitely not career ending or else there would be no careers at all because every single fighter in the world would have to end their career after a week or so of training.
