Coutures Weight An Issue??

If he bulks up to much he will be a step slower and his cardio may come into play in the later rounds. Yes he fought tito 4 years ago for 25 minutes, but the last time at heavyweight was against Pedro for 25minutes and that was 7 years ago. I hate to bring up the age thing, but it does apply in this one situation. If Randy comes into the fight light I feel that Timmy will overpower him and toss him like a ragdoll, but if he comes into the octagon heavier Timmy will have problems.
Any thoughts??

Yes, his wait is an issue. He's about 30 lbs. too light.

Randy has always stated that he feels comfortable at 205. I think he'll come in around 215. Very light, and Timmy is huge. I don't think his cardio will be a factor as much, but when jumping weight it always is.

I hate to say it, but if he comes into the fight at 215 or lower he will get smoked. I would love nothing more than Randy to GNP Timmy, but he may be making the Shamrock/Royce mistake by coming back. I would like to see him fight Rampage, Tito again, or Shamrock.

Cardio has never been an issue for Couture, whether at 205 or 220, he won't gas like some guys do. The only issue in this fight is the size difference between he and Timbo.

I dont think he will bulk much, he just wont have to cut. I think around 225.

I think even at his age he is going to be more explosive and quick than big tim, which will be the difference in the fight.

Tim's sheer size makes him very difficult to ground and pound...look at his fight with Monson; even when he got Tim down he could not do much to him on the ground. Admittedly I believe Randy's GNP is better but he's a small heavyweight, and Tim is one of the biggest in the sport. This is quite possibly the worst matchup for Randy except for Cro Cop.
