Yes I do. Fiancee is visiting her parents, and my friends are out at their colleges. Plus, I had some requests from fans of my previous breakdowns.

3:36 – First clinch, initiated by Bonnar following a jab. Jardine takes control w/ Bonnar’s back to fence, attempts takedown but fails, Bonnar backs out of clinch around 3:06.
2:35 – Second clinch, initiated by Jardine following up a failed leg kick
0:42 – Bonnar lands a solid L,R combination that dazes Jardine just a bit, he stumbles backwards but maintains balance and defense
0:04 – The round ends in a flurry of punches from both, Jardine lands the most shots, but also knocks Bonnar off balance w/ 4 seconds remaining from a solid left hook.

ROUND 2:

Bonnar straight punches: L,L,L,L (4)
Jardine straight punches: R,LR, (3)
Bonnar hooks/’power’ punches: L,R,L,L,R,R,L,R,L,L (10)

Bonnar takedown attempts: 1
Jardine takedown attempts: 0
Ground – Bonnar submission attempts: RNC
Ground – Jardine submission attempts: 0

4:26 – Bonnar causes Jardine's legs to buckle with 2 punch combo, follows w/ rear naked choke. He does drop Jardine but he is recovering before he lands on his knees. I’d give the submission a 2 out of 5 stars. He never attempts/secures body control. He starts with his forearm securely under Jardine’s chin, but just uses his right arm to push the head down instead of locking his arms together. Jardine bends forward dropping Bonnar on his head and causing him to temporarily use his right arm to regain balance. Jardine uses this opportunity to roll himself to the side and push his head out of Bonnar’s left arm. The sprawl leads to a clinch on the fence. Jardine has a cut on the left side of his bottom lip from the combination.

3:55 – During the clinch, Jardine does grab the fence during an attempted Bonnar takedown. BJM quickly slaps the hand off and yells a warning. Jardine hits his face against Bonnar’s shoulder, causing a visible cut under his left eye by the end of clinch.

3:21 – BJM moves in to break up the clinch, and Bonnar throws a left elbow that lands. You can clearly here BJM start to say “Stop it right there” before Bonnar throws the elbow, but Bonnar has started to throw the elbow before BJM has gotten in between and tapped the fighters.

2:49 – Bonnar initiates clinch against the fence following a flurry of punches that chases Jardine back up against the fence.

1:14 – Clinch initiated by Bonnar following a ‘Superman punch’.

0:59-0:52 – Time is unaccounted for, due to DVR switching to set timed recording of TUF3 airing.

0:13 – Slip fest. Jardine slips on high kick, Bonnar slips from Jardine push, all on Amp’d Mobile logo in the Blue Corner.

ROUND 3:

Bonnar straight punches: L,L,L,L,R,L,L,L,L (9)
Jardine straight punches: R,L,R,R,R,L (6)
Bonnar hooks/’power’ punches: L,R,R,R (4)
Jardine hooks/’power’ punches: L,L,R,L,R,L,L (slap),L,L,L,L,L,L,R,L,R (16)
Bonnar body shots: 0
Jardine body shots: R (1)
Bonnar high kicks: L (blocked), R (partially blocked) (.5)
Jardine high kicks: R (blocked), R,R (shoulder) (1.5)
Bonnar mid kicks: Spinning back R kick,L, (2)
Jardine mid kicks: 0
Bonnar leg kicks: 0
Jardine leg kicks: R,R,R,L,L,R (6)
Bonnar clinch knees: R,L,L (3)
Jardine clinch knees: R,L (to the head),R,L (4)
Bonnar clinch punches: R,R,R,R (4)
Jardine clinch punches: R,L* (2)
Bonnar takedown attempts: 1
Jardine takedown attempts: 0
Ground – Bonnar headshots: 0
Ground – Jardine headshots: L,L,L,L (4)

4:35 – Bonnar initiates clinch, attempts quick takedown.
(Times given are by official UFC clock unless noted otherwise)

2:49 – Bonnar drops Jardine with a left hook, lands in Jardine’s open guard. Jardine is bleeding out of his mouth after that hook. Jardine barely grabs the fence at one point as he starts to stand up in the clinch, BJM slaps his hand and warns him

1:45 – As Jardine separates from the clinch he hits a left elbow/forearm to the left side of Bonnar’s face, which opens up the cut on/around his left eye that causes the streaks of blood on that side of his face.

0:17 – Bonnar initiates a clinch, following up a Jardine high kick and flurry.

0:11 – One of the punches that lands on Bonnar’s face opens a cut above his right eye.

0:07 – Bonnar goes for a shoot to avoid another Jardine flurry.

*All tally categories are described as the Fighter making the attempt/strike. Ex: “Bonnar jabs” are jabs that Stephan Bonnar landed in the fight. All strike categories are shots that landed.*

RESULT:

Stephan Bonnar wins a unanimous three round decision over Keith Jardine. All judges scored the fight 29-28 for Stephan Bonnar.

Hardest punch landed: Stephan Bonnar’s left hook in round 3.
Best submission attempt: Stephan Bonnar’s RNC attempt in round 1.

*Special notes about the fight:

At 1:23 left in Rd 2, Jardine hits a right leg kick and you can clearly hear someone whisper what sounds like ‘yes.’

It’ll only interest me, but my constant rewinding/forwarding of the recording of the fight caused my Time Warner DVR to give out twice during the work on this breakdown. The first time left it stuck on rewind, and eventually turned off. The second time caused the sound to give out (I thought it blew my tv’s speakers at first) and then turn off.

*If there are other notes/categories that users would like to see included in breakdowns, all constructive criticism is allowed. If there is any dispute about any of my notes or tallies, they’re subject to change. I’d rather my breakdowns be accurate and correct than be one biased opinion.*

Edit 1: Clarification of terms on 2 punch combo in the Round 2 description.
Wow.

Nice breakdown! Thanks!

That was a hell of a fight worthy of a rematch.

Really, really great analysis. I enjoyed reading it. If you ever decide to do them regularly (like if you have the time) I think it would be cool to make it a regular thing. Hell I'd sticky the thread. But perhaps that's too much work. Good effort, good post.
