I haven't read the full thread, so my bad if this has been brought up.
But since when has Vera left the UFC?
As far as I know, he still has one fight on his UFC contract, and that fight is rumored to be against O'Brien. He'd be a free agent at that point and there is a large offer rumored from Elite-XC. But at this point, Vera is still under UFC contract.

Nice to see Rob Lawler get some respect.
It's also important that people don't get caught up in thinking that one guy could beat another, therefore he should be ranked higher. This is not how rankings work.
Anyways, good job so far.

Still under UFC contract, but technically it's only for one more fight. He has already decided not to renew his contract, so I suppose TECHNICALLY, he is still under obligation to the UFC, but he has already made it known that he will not be fighting for them anymore.
In any case, Vera is almost dead to many people because he is no under contract with the UFC. MMAWeekly doesn't even list them in their Top 10 HW's.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that before his two losses to Sylvia, this forum was littered with threads about how AA wasn't top 5. But now Couture is....for beating Sylvia?

Only problems thus far is that Franklin should probably a spot or two higher, and dont forget that Hughes was also KOed by Landi-Lons and subbed by Hallman twice. Other than that, great.

Vera has "made it known that he will not be fighting for [the UFC]"?
Maybe I missed a recent quote or article on this, if so, let me know. But like I said, last I heard, he's under UFC contract, still has another fight left, and isn't allowed to negotiate with any other organization until the contract is up. We've heard unconfirmed rumors of a big offer from Elite-XC, he's showed up at an Elite-XC event, and Dana White has talked about him being an arrogant young kid in interviews, but I haven't heard anything about him saying for sure this will be his last UFC fight. In fact, in a recent interview, Dana White sounded as if he felt they'd work it out eventually. Since the UFC could probably outbid Elite-XC for his services if they wanted to, might be premature to consider him out of the UFC just yet, especially since his next fight will be in the octagon.
I know it was a very minor part of your thread, so not trying to hijack or anything, just wanted to clarify.

Sweet post(s). My only disputes would possibly be Couture ranked down a couple spots and Ace up a couple... but you definately provided ample backing for your picks and I will not argue. Awesome WW ranks by the way.
