ESPN has been a fairweather fan/media outlet for MMA. IMO they were starting to cover it more untill Quentin KO'D Chuck, then they dropped it.

both SI.com and CBS Sportsline had the recap on their front page. ESPN probably covers MMA the least, despite the MMA Live show (which is going to die -- did you guys see that it was 100% house ads last episode?)

The knees to the head was the clip they showed on the Top 10 last night

I maintain that ESPN has no vision. If they had just a little bit of foresight they would either have purchased the UFC back in the day from SEG or even could have founded their own org. ESPN could have single-handidly introduced MMA to the mainstream. Someone at ESPN had to have seen the potential in a sport that appeals globally. The reason ESPN does everything they can to ignore MMA is because they know they fucked up bigtime and missed a huge oppurtunity to make billions of dollars and hope MMA will go away to cover their lack of vision. ESPN could be bringing in billions of dollars of profits from around the world by now, and turned MMA into the biggest sport in the world and put a lock down on all the top talent. All ESPN had to do was put MMA on TV and they would be making billions right now.

Yeah yeah, WE know where to go for MMA new, but the point is that OTHER people need to be exposed to the great sport of MMA. So why couldnt ESPN give that more coverage instead of a disgusting hot dog eating contest??? People are starving in this world and ESPN shows a hot dog eating contest? Sick fuckin world.
