Bandwagon jumping justified??

A lot of people say that you should support your favorite fighter win or LOSE. But if your fav keeps on losing, he will eventually be kicked out of any major MMA org and start fighting in smaller venues which are largely unpublicized, much less televised. So how can you keep supporting a fighter that you will not get see to fight? It seems only natural to select a new favorite.

Or don't restrict yourself to one fighter?

That way if one of your favourites goes the way of Ken Shamrock, you can follow the other 5 or 6 you like?

There is never a reason to jump from the bandwagon of your favorite fighter. It's blasphemy!

Do you support sports teams depending on how they're doing?

If so, then jump all the bandwagons you want.
If you're an actual fan, you stick out the people/teams you like, win or lose.

/Bengals fan.

I've been a Keith Jardine fan since he was on TUF...he's so up and down, it's not even funny. Alot agree, he'll probly never win a belt. But no matter what happens, I'm in his corner. Period. Even if he fights on the next Adrenaline card and loses.

But agreed that you should probly pick more than one favorite...I like GSP too. Still like Vera. Fedor fan, of course. Pulver. Diaz bros. Win or lose I got their back. And as long as new guys keep impressing me, I'll jump on their bandwagons too. If they start sucking, I won't jump off. I won't need to. THey won't be talked about anymore at that point lol

That isn't really jumping the bandwagon. Jumping bandwagons isn't about picking a new favorite, but about consistently and constantly transferring ridiculous levels of adoration to whomever is the flavor of the month.

If your favorite NFL team was the Patriots, and then became the Steelers, and then the Colts, and now it's the Giants... you're a bandwagon jumper.
