Mitsuhiro Ishida may be in for yet another bout against a Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert at Bushido 12.

Some members of Chute Boxe Academy in Curitiba, Brazil have stated that Chute Boxe's head jiu-jitsu instructor Cristiano Marcello will be competing at PRIDE's Bushido 12 card on August 26th in Nagoya. The Chute Boxe sources have mentioned that Marcello has already began training for a bout with Shooto Pacific Rim welterweight champion Mitsuhiro Ishida.

Marcello is a BJJ black belt under Royler Gracie, and has studied extensively under Rickson Gracie as well. Garcia serves as Chute Boxe's jiu-jitsu instructor along with Antonio Schembri, and for years was Chute Boxe's sole BJJ instructor, coaching Wanderlei Silva and Rafael Cordeiro to their black belts, as well as the early jiu-jitsu development of the Rua brothers, among others. Marcello has competed in MMA scarcely in the past few years, but last competed on April 29th at MARS' World Grand Prix in South Korea, notching a cut stoppage over Do Hyung Kim.

Dream Stage Entertainment has not released a statement regarding the potential match-up, or Marcello's participation, though if true, it should be announced soon along with the match-ups of Bushido aces Takanori Gomi and Hayato Sakurai.

If this is true, we'll obviously see either Gomi vs. David Baron or Sakurai vs. David Baron.

The problem I have is why would Sakakibara state that a LW trifecta of Gomi, Aurelio, and Ishida has to be taken care of when he's not even giving Aurelio a chance to redeem himself against Gomi, while adding Baron, Marcello, or even Hansen in the mix.

Hansen has said he has not yet been contacted by PRIDE about fighting at this card. Sakakibara says Aurelio is the leading candidate for the title shot in November. You figure it out.
