Does anyone think Chuck could be taking his rematch with babalu lightly?

It's human nature to believe you can conquer what you have once before, especially if you were triumphant in an impressive decisive manner. Chuck KBabaluTFO, and considering his very arrogant attitude as of late, I can see him just taking babalu lightly. In addition, the announcement of the Wanderlei v. Chuck fight, a fight that Chuck has wanted for a very long time, you can imagine how easily Chuck could look pass babalu, which could be a huge mistake.

Babalu is quoted as saying that he under-estimated Chuck's power, and was thrown off his game early in the fight with a right hand he ate. i can guarantee a cagy vet. like Babalu will not make that mistake again.

Any Thoughts on what you think Chuck's mental attitude is towards his rematch with Babalu?

I don't think Chuck is taking Babalu lightly at all, he will be in 100% top shape... but he's still going to tap.

Chuck has wanted to fight Wandy for a long time and now, Babalu is stuck smack dab in the middle between chuck and what Chuck has wanted for a long time. So no, I don't think he is taking Babalu lightly.

Of course he is going to take Sobral lightly. He is willing to risk a huge payday and the biggest match of his career by not training as hard or by overlooking a very talented and dangerous opponent.

Don't post again until you have a valid point to make.

Chuck doens't take fights lightly. He understands the nature of the fight game better than anyone.

You remember when AA took Slyvia lightly in the second fight, and didn't repsect his Jab?

I think that Chuck is going to swing for the fences like he always does, get caught in a duckunder to a clinch, and then get taken down. American Wristlock or Kimora are easy to get from a side mount... just ask Royce Gracie from the Hughes fight.

Or not... a figher of Chuck's calibur wouldn't overlook anyone.

I wish you were still online so I could help you understand that this post wasn't designed to make a point, it was designed to begin discussion.

I seem to remember Chuck saying that he went into his first fight with couture out of shape. unless you are hurt, the only time you enter into a fight that is under contract with someone, and you come in out of shape, you are not taking the preparation seriously, thus overlooking your opponent.

Well, I won't attack you but this does seem rather silly.

Chuck is a champion. He had a long hard road to the title and his goal of being the undisputed #1 LHW on earth is in sight. I can't even imagine him taking Babalu lightly.
