Chuck vs. Wandy (my case)

Unlike a lot of other people tend to make weak statements about WHY their favorite will get the W, also they tend to look at only one aspect of the game.
Here's my case for Wanderlei over Chuck, hate it or love it.

1. Wanderlei has faced world class strikers where he was the smaller fighter, Mark Hunt pack an enormous amount of power and still couldn't finish Wanderlei standing up. That's a statement about Wanderleis chin. Remember that at the times this was a hughe upset, plus Mark wighed more than 90 lbs.

2. Mirko and Wanderlei fought, the rules prevented extensive ground work. This almoste made it a K-1 fight, still Wanderlei wasn't finished by CC. All of this was years ago, Wanderlei has improved greatly.

3. Wanderlei survived great grapplers such as Arona and Sakuraba, Arona proved a difficult test and was overlooked the first time IMO. The second fight was too soon IMO, has it been 6 months inbetween we would have seen another result. He knocked out Saku BAD all times they fought.

4. Wanderlei picked Quinton apart. Even though Quintons strength wasn't used a lot he didn't look impressive against Wanderlei. Yet he finished Chuck, I swear I even heard Chuck making strange pain sounds when Quinton was beating on him.

5. Wanderlei is a Muay Thai fighter, that's what Chute Boxe is, Value Tudo Muay Thai.
The elbows is nothing new to him, he's probably got MT coaches right now teaching him how to split skulls open standing. The stomps and downed kicks doesn't matter, it'll probably not go to the ground anyways.

I make a solid case.

There's no point in analyzing it. Just wait until the fight happens then we'll know.

I agree that it probably won't go to the ground. I'm sure that both want to prove that they are the better striker.

Most adult men weigh more than 90 lbs... I don't understand that comment about Hunt.

Chuck has beaten Babalu, he's a world class striker!

Rampage was a fluke.

I dont think this fight is going to happend in November. Assuming Wanderlei faces CroCop and wins, he will be banged up and then has to face Nog/Barnett. He will need time to heal.

Also Wanderlei needs time to train fighting inside a cage to take away whatever he can against Chuck in that department. Chuck has been fighting undercage for years now and with UFC rules. Wanderlie needs time to prepare and adjust to that new environment.

I surmised this is what he meant, however I tried to be a typical sherdogger, and make fun of him.

Fail.
