Chuck and the Octagon Vs. Wand

The only reason i give Chuck any shot against Wand is because it is in the octagon. It provides him with the ability to circle in a very large diameter. Chuck seems to have become a counter-puncher with power. Against Randy and Horn he was usually backing up and throwing big shots. With the octagon he can't get trapped because there are no 90 degree corners.

In many of Chuck's past fights, he has used the cage to stand up, or to prevent the takedown. Another way the ring benefits chuck and his gameplans. If the fight were in a ring, penalties may be given for excessive rope grabbing.

Wand will clearly be the one pressing the action in this fight, so I anticipate that chuck backs up in a circular motion and counters from there. In a pride ring I would bet a pound of my flesh that Wand would TKO the shit of him in the 1st or second because the circle Chuck would use to escape the clinch would be dramatically decreased. also the 90 degree corners can be hard to get out of. in the octagon however i fear that Wand may take some serious shots early.

I think that Wand is the better fighter and that he will prevail, however I do not count Chuck out because it is on his hometurf. If it goes 5 rds, can't see Chuck standing, because there is no relent in silva. But the rules and the locale are clearly all in Chuck's favor.
