Cesar Gracie- Loser's Mentality

In his recent interview with Ariel, he never talks about changing strategies but basically that they did all they could and were robbed by the judges. Even if a coach feels that way, that's not how a winner's mentality works. Are the Diaz bros just highly influenced by the way this guy thinks? I feel if they were with a better coach they would go even further and become much more well-rounded. Opinions?

You have a great point there. Cesar is full of excuses when he needs to coach his fighters how to overcome.

THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE WINNING THE FIGHT.. Why would they change strategies when they thought they were in front?

Why then good sir. Did Diaz finally go for takedown in round 4-5 when, by your standards, the winning the fight round 1-2-3?
Doesn't make sense. Diaz felt he needed to do something else because he was getting lit up on the feet

You mean the fight Gracie had scored 2-2 going into the 5th?

Guys dont go for takedowns because they are necessarily losing. He may have thought he was winning but not going to finish on the feet. Nicks that kinda guy who wants the finish and he was confident he could beat Condit on the ground. I dont think him going for takedowns is a sign of him thinking he was behind on the cards.

I think TS is trying to say if he was cornered by someone else they would have said they were not in front the whole match.
