I am not a huthugger by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like both CC and Kongo as fighters. For the CC fans, I really think that Crocop looked alot like his fomrer self last night. The problem is that cheick Konog just pretty much overpowered CC. To the contrary, he did really well against a kickboxer who is almost twice his size.

I called the CC/Kongo fight before it happened, and I'll tel you now that for the next fight, CC will look alot better and will begin a winning streak. Congrats to Kongo for showing up and fighting really well. CC fans dont worry though. While the Mirko of the Grand Prix days is pretty much gone, I dont think CC's days are over quite yet .....

lol, you're so optimistic about CC when he just got mauled down and picked apart by Kongo.
Kongo isn't "twice" the size of Mirko, he was like what, 11 pounds heavier and 2 inches taller?
CroCop is supposedly an elite level K-1 striker, him doing "really well" against another kickboxer would have to mean CC destroying his opponent - not backing off and hesitating his shots.

As much as I was shocked that CC was beat the way he did, I hope too that he comes back stronger, he was visibily disappointed after the fight. Also, there are rumours that CC would retire after his UFC contract is finished, if he doesn't win soon, it might come true.

Cro Cop at times didn't look interested in the fight. No way did he look like his former self

I'm a HUGE CC fan and was almost more disappointed w/ this loss than versus GG but I too have a bad feeling he may retire. He just wasn't himself. Maybe his skills have diminished, maybe it's the cage, I don't know. Heck maybe it was even a better game plan by Kongo. I don't remember other fights (in Pride) where guys circled away from his left for an entire fight.

I have a bad feeling CC is done. I mean, where does he go from here?

CC is done unless he gets his mind in the right place.

I've got the feeling that CC will announce his retirement in the next few days. It's a long way back for him and you've gotta question his desire to do it now.

Cro Cop should work on his right hook IMO. The way people in the UFC like to circle away from his left leg it might pay dividends (not that it's not good now).
