Trust me; when being deployed in Afghanistan, you spend most of your time extremely bored, missing your family, missing your home, your friends, etc. When there is any "action," it is really quite rare when compared to the amount of time you are there, but it is also scary as hell. You go from extreme boredom to extreme fear/adrenaline so fast that it taxes your constitution heavily. When guys like Carlos come over and do things like this, it really lets you forget about the shitty situation you're in for a while and just have some time off from your worries. I appreciate people like him.
Sorry for double!

Coming from someone who has probably never spent time away from his family and friends...

I spent time in Iraq in the Marines and shit like this is a real moral booster. It's nice to know that there are people like Condit who actually care about people other than themselves...

If you don't want to stand behind the troops... By all mean, feel free to stand in front of them!

i think that it is cool that he and other MMA fighters went over seas to see the troops.... real stand up kind of guys ...

goes to show you don't have to believe in the war ... but supporting the guys that are fighting is really cool
