No way, he might be able to win but if anything I can see Nog submitting Barnett.

on average?

nog has been getting bigger & bigger, actually i was wrong the official weigh ins for the last event have nog @ 111kg & barnett @ 112kg

barnett is not that much bigger than nog

& no he wont be able to hold nog down while he passes guard & applys a submission, he will get swept before he even gets side control....

Both of them have strong chins and will not be finished via strikes.
We all know Minatauro likes to pull guard and with Barnett he'll have no other choice since barnett is the stronger, better and heavier wrestler who is hard to take down via double leg. When Barnett is on top on the ground, 260 lbs of muscle, I think he will control Nog with his sheer strength (look at, Josh/Aleks, Josh/Hunt) and he can pull off a sub. Not that Nog doesn't have great sub devense, but just because Barnett will overpower him, and may squeeze him untill, for the first time, Nog "cries uncle" (tapps).

What do you all think?
Having amazing submission ability brings with it natural submission defence. As for Barnett being 260lbs of muscle - i don't think so. He has always been strong but he's also had plenty of excess flab on him which is definitely not muscle. Noguiera, however, is up to around 240 now and is still pretty ripped. If there was a submission in this match i'd see Nog pulling it off

I think Barnett has a chance of subbing Nog.

More likely to win a decision though (or lose a bad decision a la Ricco).

I see this going to decision again and Josh will not be the favorite so he'll have to put on a show to get the JD.

MMA is a different story, but yes josh has a good chance

The chances of Barnett subbing Noguiera are so small that they're virtually negligible.

I would be both surprised and sad if Barnett subbed Nog.

I think most people posting does know who both fighters are and seen their fights, but to answer your question why no one thinks barnett can submit Minatauro; it's because we're talking about the best submission artist in the world whose also known for being able to take huge punishment.

I don't think anyone in this world could submit Nog.
