Can any MMA fighter run as fast as Asafa Powell?

Inspired by the threads about how MMA fighters would fare kickboxing against Buakaw or boxing with Floyd Mayweather, I wondered if you thought any current MMA fighters would be able to beat Asafa Powell over 100 meters.

Obviously, Powell would win on a track, but do you think fast guys like GSP and Guilliard could use their natural athletic ability to beat him running on a padded canvas...how about if each sprinter was wearing 4 oz gloves?

Well, since Asafa is from another sport he is obviously using steroids and is nowhere near as athletic or explosive as an mma fighter. I mean everyone knows mma fighters are by far the greatest athletes in the world.

Bob Sapp could do it for sure. He beat Hoost twice when NOBODY gave him a chance.

Asafa would get owned in the octagon!!!!! GSP would armbar him in less then a minute! MMA is the greatest sport ever!!!!!!!!11

And Fedor would definitely break the world record on 100m if you gave him 1 year of training. He's the best athlete in the world. Have you seen the way MMA fighters train? No one else even comes close. MMA has the best athletes for sure!
