Brock Lesnar is worth every penny
No surprise, but it's still interesting to see the rough numbers on revenues generated.
Get well soon big guy!

I would love to see more in depth numbers. Like first time UFC PPV buyers and things of that nature. I am a little surprised by how much revenue BJ Penn brings in. I thought he would come in lower than a few of them. Good shit though.

Kimbo is too.
On the flip-side, Anderson Silva is one of the UFC's lowest draws when he's headlining.
Just shows that appearance is more important than actual skill. KO's and awesome performances mean nothing when you don't look the part.

If only his elbow hadn't "acted up".
On the heels of that embarrassing beatdown of Forrest, he would've gotten a big buyrate against Vitor.

I like Brock, will happily watch his fights, but his obsessive fans?...can't fucking stand them.
But all in all, he's a huge draw for those who like him as a fighter and those waiting for someone to KO him.

Really? BJ's popularity has been way up there for pretty much his whole career and lately he's had some great fights (maybe not the best matchups...but they've been well-hyped and fun to watch and that's what brings in the buys). The only surprise on that list to me was Rich Franklin, but even that makes sense when you think about it.

I think a lot people who dislike him or his antics dont see the marketing side of things.
Lets say someone who is working their way up in the ranks like a Joe Lauzon or a Nate Diaz. Now they get put on a PPV with Brock headlining and they have an absolutely outstanding performance. The people who saw them fight are going to be more likely to tune in next time they see them on a PPV card or fight night. Ultimately it leads to more money in their pockets come contract negotiations and sponsorship dollars.
In short, you may not have to like the guy but the exposure he brings to other fighters on the card is well worth the negatives in light of the positive impact his presence can bring.

I think Anderson Silva's low draw has to do with his inability to connect with the predominantly english speaking american fan base.
I think a lot of guys who can't speak fluent english are not as readily received, I think it has to do with being able to relate to the fighter.
