Brad said that they should have known what his background knowledge and capacity was before they hired him. It sounds like Sherdog basically lured him away for a job he had had for many years, kept him for a short time and then fired him.

I think Sherdog should have made either:
1. More of an effort to make it work with Brad
2. Checked into his background and knowledge before hiring him

If you hire someone into a top post at Sherdog and then later fire them saying "he didn't know who the KOTC HW champion was" or "he didn't know what a gogoplata was", it tells me you really didn't know who you were hiring.

You are either hiring a person with extensive MMA background or not. If that person needed to have that knowledge for that position then it's not really Brad's fault it wasn't communicated to him or Sherdog couldn't figure that out.

There is more to running an MMA website than techniques. Writing and editing takes a lot of talent and patience. I don't think that would be too hard to figure out after talking to him for an afternoon where his skills were.

The interview of Jordan Breen was on 7/19 and Jordan was interviewed on segment 1 and discussed the oh so touchy topic of Brad "The New Dude" Mccray. I saw the thread the day it was happening but unfortunately missed the show and had to wait a while until they finally put the podcasts up. i don't know if they interviewed Brad Mccray on the other segments because i'm too lazy to listen to them since sherdog radio wears me out.

Thanks for the update. I listened to the entire Segment 1 w/ Jordan and scanned the rest of the show and I didn't hear Brad on. If I was him I wouldn't go on unless there was just blatant lies told.

For ppl that don't want to listen, seems Crave, the parent company of Sherdog interviewed McCray. I don't know how involved Sherwood was in hiring him, but Breen did say he was given a severence package etc. Breen also said McCray was flown out to UFC 84 to cover the event and he got to Vegas, and didn't do any of the coverage, he pawned it off on Sloan who lives in Vegas. And that the story written by Sloan was in Brad's inbox for 1/2 a day until someone got it, edited it and posted it.

Seems he was just not willing/very good at doing what Sherdog demanded.
