All in all...I think that Kenny will be able do fair well on the ground w/ BJ and that BJ loses if he keeps the fight standing.

So no...I don't buy that poor man's BJ Penn crap at all.

Besides..to say that is not only disrespectful to Kenny, but also to BJ. They are both completely different fighters w/ solid skills. BJ's best game is on the ground. Kenny's best game is on his feet, but both are solid in the other's strong point.
I think you underestimate BJ Penns hands. Kenny has some good standup, I guess we will see how he does on his feet with Huerta. It will answer a lot of questions for me

The Huerta nut huggers are equally hilarious or more so. Why is Huerta being talked about as a contendor? Was it his win over alberto Crane? Perhaps, his win over john halverson? His only win against a Legit opponent was against Guida in a fight where he was losing badly prior to pulling out the sub. Guida isn't even top 10. I will tell you why he is being talked about as a contendor. He is mexican. The latino market is one of the biggest markets for combat Sports and one the UFC is trying extremely hard to get into. Sanchez was a bust from a marketablity aspect so they have built up Huerta.

Huerta could really be the next big thing but the hype machine turns a lot of people off.

I will do an indepth break down later but mainly I think that Huerta has suspect Jiu Jitsu, which will hurt against florian and I think Kenny's discplined striking will trump Huerta's brawling style.

Oh I agree with that. I like Florian for the decision. Either way I think this one is going the distance.

your last sentence basically summarizes my breakdown. Cant wait to read your breakdown. Huerta has huge potential and the fact he joined a very good camp means he is taking this very seriously.

We also forgot he has just finished school so I doubt he trained full time for thius fight.

I liked a lo of your fight breakdown, except Heurta taking down Florian, why would he do that? He doesngt wanna get submitted or have his head elbowed to pieces. Surely Heurta is gonna want to keep it standing and use his athleticism and power to try and look for the knockout, but hey this is mma!

I didnt read that essay you just wrote but this is going to be a good test for huerta. In my opinion kenflo is too technical and too smart a fighter to lose...kenflo definately has impressed me lately. However huerta is still improving and who knows how far he has progressed since his last fight...its a win win for us fans!

Huerta has a bright future but Kflo is going to send im back to the drawing boards. Huerta is a future contender, just not now.
