Could Brock be any more overated?

Ok, so he beat Herring, a guy that hasn't really been good in 5 years or so. Also, who notioriousely has NO TAKEDOWN DEFENSE. Brock had dominant position for 3 rounds and did not really hurt Heath, or get close to stopping him other than maybe the first punch, which he didn't follow up on. What is up with everyone acting like he is Fedor or something.

That article on Sherdog.com about Brock and what waits is a joke. It sounds like it was written by some TUF noob with no insight whatsoever into the sport.

Back to Herring, I liked him back in the old PRIDE days when namely you could knee a downed opponent to the head. He has been especially mediocre of late, losing to O'brien, then losing to Nog. He had a very, very boring win over Kongo, which really proved he was a shell of his former self. So some huge fucking mongoloid wrestler laid on him for 3 rounds, and really did nothing effective the whole time, big fucking deal. Brock proved nothing, he hasn't improved since his first fight, just fought against someone tougher. The guy could already wrestle, shouldn't he be learning some type of ground game, or working on his striking. What good is being able to mount a guy if you can't do anything?

Again, we have yet to see him fight anyone decent, with good takedown defense. I really don't see Brock surviving more than a few minutes with any good strikers with good takedown defense (ie Mirko, Sergei, Andrei, Roy Nelson) or anyone with a good ground game (Mir, Nog, Verdun) would totally overwhelm Brock. That is how it should be though, Brock is new, and should be treated like a guy that is 2-1 and just getting going. Not some fucking tool that is just a freak show to get ticket sales. And the way they are pushing him to a title shot already is just sad. Let's see him fight a few of his peers (that is, heavyweights in the first year or 2 of their professional career) Take Cain for example. He is a high level wrestler, but he can also strike and grapple. Look at his last fight, he foguth a guy on the same level as Herring...ie he BEAT Herring last year, and lost a decision to Arlovsk (a top 3 hw)... yet he got stopped by Cain, totally, uterlly dominate, in under 2 minutes. Yet people care more about Brock cause he likes roids, and he was a pro wrestler? As a parting though, how can the UFC pull in some guy with 1 fight, pay him more than any other HW in the org, and say "We would never cash in on some freak show fight" and then let guys like Arlovski, and Sylvia go all in the span of a few months, and then try to act like they still have the best HW division, and affliction and other competitiors can never amount to anything. Just keep Dana in charge and they are begging to bested. The ufc isn't that big. where did they ever get the idea that its only the brand and not the fighters. Honestly, anyone that agrees with that probably thing Forest Griffin is the best fighter ever, and the TUF is a good show. Frankly I think MMA is a lot better without those people. It's funny how UFC doesn't care about MMA fans, they just want UFC fans.

Please flame away and tell me how good Brock is. I don't care. Guys out there like "Big Country" and Cain have more promise than Brock does roids, and thats a fucking bunch.

Does this really need a new thread? And all I'm going to say is if you honestly think Roy Nelson has more potential than Lesnar then I don't know what to tell you...

He beat dominated a guy who almost finished the HW champion, on his THIRD fight. These threads actually complement Lesnar. PPL calling him overrated only on his 3rd fight. LOL

Herring was a legit top 15 and you gusy are in denial about what happened. I love it. Fucking MMA elitists cant beleive a pro wrestler just beat a top 15 HW on his 3rd fight.

WAR BROCK
