Lauzon was mounted for 2 minutes straight by Florian. Vera is mounted for 15 seconds and wasn't even close to out. He was intelligently defending himself considering Werdum's ground prowness.

Anyway.. that retard Miragliotta should be fired. He had an shit in his pants because of criticism from kimbo fight.. So he was probably trying not to make same mistake but did even bigger crap. !!

I believe you ment Werdum there?
Either way you're absolutely right. People like Werdum, St. Pierre, Randy and A.Silva are an enrichment to the sport.
Hell, even my girlfriend likes those guys.
(for reasons that WOULD make us gay if we shared them lol)

But he allowed Kimbo to say he was okay --- he even said it on InsideMMA.
So let me get this straight. Vera is an established fighter in the middle of the ring moving his hands around blocking most shots and the fight gets stopped --- while Kimbo, who is new to the sport and knows fuck all about the ground game is against the fence with both arms trapped and getting rained down on by elbows --- but because Kimbo gave a thumbs up, that's not saying 'I'm OKAY'??? What the fuck?
BTW, for those who didn't see InsideMMA, Mirgliotta specifically said that Kimbo was talking to him, saying he was okay. The reason that he ended the fight was because he saw the whites of JT's eyes. Mirgliotta is no BJM and he may not be on the take but he is definitely responsible for the controversies.

Vera was hoping to ride the round out, but he doing nothing to stop Werdum from pounding away. I can see why the ref stopped it.

Why didn't Joe Rogan ask Vera did he shout stop?
Is there any confirmation on whether he shouted stop or not?
It was stopped way to early in my opinion if he didn't.
If he did then there is no argument, verbal submission.

Vera should have put KIMBO on his shorts in big letters. THen Dan would have let it continue. Fucking joke.
FWIW, I've got no love Vera.

True, but you cannot deny the hypocrisy compared to the kimbo fight.
That is what makes him a bad ref, or even worse, maybe corrupt.
