Hahaha, I just saw his fight against Werdum. This guy is just so kind it makes me smile every time! Just a really likable guy!! I think we should consider ourselves lucky to have someone as well-humoured and kind as Vera in the MMA sport.

Some people will reply "[blabla] GAY [blabla]" and others will simply understand that I'm happy to see a civilised person in an uncivilised sport, that's all.

Vera wasn't intelligently defending himself, Werdum was dropping bombs (some of which hit), so it was a good stoppage. Those of you bitching because Dan stopped Vera when he didn't stop Kimbo are just saying that you want a ref to consistently make bad decisions. On the contrary, I hope he learned something from letting the Kimbo fight keep going on when Kimbo couldn't defend himself, and I'm glad he didn't make the same mistake twice.

I have but one thing to say: Hey "Truth", curling up in the foetal position isn't considered intelligently defending yourself.

Even though the term intelligent defending is not really clearly defined, one could argue this was a premature stoppage even when you're not on drugs.

I find it hard to take a point in this one. If i was a ref i would let it go just a few punches more, especially when i was Dan after last week.

Outcome would have been the same though, just 5 seconds later.
