The Ref stopped the fight when it was 20 sec left, not 15 or 10 sec like some here continue to repeat.

People survive more than twenty seconds of the mount all the time. Where's the fucking damage? That just fucking sucked. Tell me you wouldn't have wanted to see another round. Surely, if FW was the better fighter, he would have replicatedthis feat in the remaining rounds. UFC should give it another go. I thought it was an awesome fight until that bullshit. Fuck DM!

bad stoppage... vera wasn't hurt.. he was still defending.. the gif makes it look alot worse. even if the ref would of let if go on another 5 seconds.. just for a definitive finish

Stoppage was a little early but Werdum was owning Vera all fight long on the ground. I guess being mounted sort of says it all.

You surely can't say Vera won the fight that is for sure when he couldn't even defend himself.

You don't have to be "out" for the ref to stop the fight. Familiarize yourself with the rules please.
