time left should have nothing to do with stoppages, it's not like the ref is staring at the clock - so they have no idea.
Anyway - I thought it was a bad stoppage because I believe you have to let the fighter win or lose clearly

Well, if Dan had let him continue to take that ass whipping and he ended up coming out with a broken orbital bone and a broken nose.. and couldn't continue with round two, you lame fucks would be bashing on the ref anyway for letting it go too long.
The fact of the matter is, Dan Lameliotta fucked up at EliteXC but after watching all the fights he reffed again last night, I think he did a good job overall.
Stop sucking Vera's cock dude, seriously. He was getting tooled that entire round, aside from dazing Werdum once. Werdum's striking is a lot better, and those looked like some powerful shots on the ground. Good call, bad whining.

'lame fucks', 'sucking vera's cock'? it's no wonder fighters don't come to sherdog to voice their opinions anymore. i was giving my opinion you little wannabe loser, and clearly stated i didn't think Vera was winning.
try your internet bullshit tough guy routine one someone else because it isn't going to work on me you sad fu*king fa*got.
i've fucked girls tougher than you, you little trihard. 'loveMMA'... sounds to me like you love Dr Pepper, cocks and cheetos you little lameass cockbag.

Agreed. According to Brandon Vera, it's always someone elses fault.
I think the stoppage was fine. Brandon Vera's defense was not. Besides, being mounted by a good BJJ guy isn't really the smartest thing you can do.

This isn't intelligent defense nor was it that brief. It went on for several seconds and the reason that people are complaining is most likely a combination of being sore at Dan Miragliotta for being a bad ref at EXC CBS and Vera's complaining afterwards influencing viewer perception.
Karo did the same thing and it was blatantly obvious upon rewatching that that it looks more legit after each view and that his complaining was influencing fan perception.

Whatever. That was too quick. Approximately 20 seconds left and virtually no damage was done. Dominant position shouldn't be enough. Especially so close to the end of the round. Why didn't he stop it when Vera rocked him on their feet earlier in the round?
Karo got dropped like he was hot. He was clearly rocked. I still don't see where Vera is hurt at all. What's the matter with you?

After watching this gif it appears Vera was getting destroyed. I don't care how much time was left in the round that fight was rightfully won.

Big Dan does seem to be reaking havoc among the MMA world. At least be consistant!!!I truly believe that the Kimbo fight was a fix and it was on Dan's shoulders to make sure Kimbo was victorious.Maybe Vera should have approached Dan before the fight to work out some kind of dealor maybe Werdum had beat him to it??who knows...But, I say ,when in a refs integrity is questionable,he needs replaced!!!
