This being my first thread, I wanted to get eveyone'es opinion on this. In his third UFC fight, Stephan Bonnar gets to fight Keith Jardine. Sounds fair enough. BUT, in HIS third UFC fight Forrest gets to fight Tito Ortiz. I think Forrest has an outside shot of pulling off the upset, but not nearly the shot Bonnar has of beating Jardine.

I know people are going to say that Dana White is just capitalizing on Forrest's popularity. But, if your going to hand someone an easier match wouldn't you want it to be the one who everyone likes? Just looking for other opinions

But to answer your question, remember that Tito was away from the UFC for awhile and his return coupled with a fight with popular personality Forrest equals big PPV numbers.
