A) Wtf does the first letter in BJJ stand for?? Brazilian!!! One would think a Brazilian would win, it being a native combat sport.
It's like the USA basketball team losing in basketball to another country, it's pretty damn frowned upon, maybe not by this idiot but every American would be pissed.
The country that did win would be fucking jumping for joy and a chain reaction of riots would stir all across their country.
B) Michael Phelps isn't named the "First American" to win 8 gold medals because "the first" and "the only" is an even greater accomplishment and title. Anyone else who happens to win 8 gold medals will get the "First (insert whatever country they are from)" title, which is great as well. Unless they are American they will be the second.
I stopped reading after his shitty point, which unsurprisingly was his first point and thank god.

BJ doesn't have to win fights to remiain ranked p4p.
Simply fighting heavier guys and looking good is enough. Personbally despuite his talent I am NOT convinced bj is even the best LW. He has never dominated @ LW instead he moves up because it it too "easy" and he needs a "challenge". I wish he would fight at least 5 LW matches in a row before moving around weights again.

You should keep reading. He makes good points. Because ELO is a mathematical system, it ignores the nature of wins and losses, which is the biggest flaw, but the article is factual and well argued. If you disagree, you should explain why.

because hes bj fucking penn and when he fights at his weight hes just as dominant as all the guys on that list except he is not happy just being that so he moves up to fight who cares if gsp beat him gsp should beat him hes ranked higher and he dosent jump weight to see what would happen against anderson?? ( same thing that happend to penn) he will get dismantled so make a real point learn what pound for pound means getting beat by a much bigger fighter dont mean shit in pound for pound its a hypathetical situation where skill is the only aspect and size is equal

Whether you think he should be rated P4P or not, he his undeniably the best the LW in the UFC and I say outside too. I cannot see anyone giving Bj a hard time in the division except for diego sanchez possibly, and still I got my money on bj.

The first point was retarded, no need to carry on.

You're an idiot. He's beaten everyone there is to beat in the LW division already. What, you want him to pad his record by fighting LW cans? He came in, got the interim LW belt from Stevenson, and beat Sean Sherk for the real championship. He beat the two LW guys the UFC thought were the best, and he doesn't waste his time destroying subpar fighters like Anderson's doing this Saturday against Leites.
He fights only the top challengers the UFC sends him, like he's doing this August. True, his inactivity can be a legitimate argument against him being ranked so highly, which I agree with. But until he's beaten, he's defeated the top challengers sent against him, so he should still be considered the top LW, maybe just not ranked as high.
And who doesn't cut down in weight? You serious? Yeah BJ cuts from 170 to 155. So does everyone else at LW. Everyone at WW cuts from 190. Everyone from MW cuts from 205... etc.

Great Points, and I agree that he needs to dominate Florian to even be considered a top p4p fighter.
He has owned every fighter in his natural weight class the last 3 matches, and his losses are to GSP 2x,Hughes,and Machida all bigger fighters.
I would put Fitch ahead for sure 9-1 in the ufc,and Evans because he is undefeated in the UFC and could fight at 185lb if he wanted to.
I do believe he is the Best LW in the UFC at this point, and dont take anything away from that due to his loss at 170lb to GSP the champ.
