Understood but over the years it's become apparent alot of BJ's losses were due to work ethic, not weight.

You can say he hasn't evolved...you could also say he was 15lbs lighter than a guy who's he's reasonably similar to in skill level. I think the latter makes more sense. Did GSP evolve more since the first fight? Of course. All that really shows is Penn was on a higher level than GSP skill wise in the first fight, which I think was obvious considering how GSP won that fight (cardio and takedowns + size)...as opposed to the second fight where Takedowns and the fact that the skill gap was eclipsed...

Personally, I don't think Penn came ready to fight (his own damn fault) and GSP did...combine that with too highly skilled guys, one of which is 15lbs bigger at a low weight class, and a beating from hell is what you get.

no he is arguing ability. he said he's not a top 5 LW and not in the top 10 p4p fighters, thats questioning his ability. don't stick up for his dumbass cuz you look like a total tool now.

Like citing BJ's LW record which was 9-1-1 and then citing another LW saying they have more activity which is stupid because you had to remove his other fights to prove that point. what he should have done was used his win loos percentage and his activity percentage along side his strength of schedule to try and determine what his win loss record would look like if he had fought his entire career at LW. his record then would look quite impressive.

Yea but one of his losses was to Machida who is and was way bigger than BJ. It was one of Machida's toughest fights, and he is still undefeated and may become the LHW champ soon. This man is also on the p4p list.

GSP also won a close fight with BJ in their first match. The second match BJ was dominated, but GSP is argued to be p4p the best and is #2 p4p right now. Not to mention GSP is much bigger than BJ and WW is not his natural weight division. *BJ was not over 180lbs. like TS stated. I'd like to see a source on that because BJ weighted at 168 and was noticeably smaller in stature.

Hughes was lucky that BJ did not train properly for the fight because he had nothing for BJ and was getting dominated until BJ gassed. Again not BJ's natural weight division.

BJ's losses in the last 5 years have been to guys bigger than him and was not in his weight class. On top of that, those guys are considered to be some of the best MMA fighters ever. BJ has had consistent wins at LW since he drawed with Uno and lost to Pulver, which he avenged.

If BJ beats Kenny he should be back to #4, IMO.

TS is a dumbass.

Gimme a break you people kill me. He was the underdog and was outweighed by 20 lbs. Yeah he got his ass kicked but he should have gotten his ass kicked. There is no way that you can argue BJ's fighting ability unless your just a troll, which you obviously are. He's goin to dismantle Kenny and any other guy they throw in the cage with him. Fuck you very much!
jesus Christ buddy we can still see who didn't get over Penn's ass whoopin. Then to not say there's not at least one person to beat bj penn at 155 is just plain retarded. He's fuckin human for christ sakes. Kenny, Eddie Alvarez, Mach even at 155 or 170, to just name a few.

Technically the fight was stopped based on lack of intelligent defense. From my point of view GSP was aware that he was unable to defend and was in the process of tapping as the fight was stopped by the referee.

Your request to have people you claim to be blind watch a tape makes me beleive that your your mouth engages before your brain.
