Big Nog looked GREAT vs. Herring III

Im sick and tired of the morons that keep saying, "Big Nog looked horrible in his UFC Debut."

Big Nog dominated 14/15 minutes in that fight. Nog COMPLETELY outstruck Herring until that shin kick landed right on his chin. Nog said it was the hardest hes ever been hit and STILL recovered and dominated Herring from that point on.

Big Nog fucked up Herring's face, took him down at will, and rolled Herring around the octagon like he was putting on a BJJ Clinic. His boxing looked great. He was throwing very crisp straights and crosses breaking right through Herrings guard.

Anyone who REALLY trains will tell you that Nog looked great in that fight and it would have been flawless if it wasn't for that slip up. All the gnubs saying he looked horrible need to STFU.

totally agree. I was impressed how easily Nog was outstriking Herring actually. He was playing with him. I think he got too comfortable and started playing around and didn't expect that horse kick come out of nowhere.

I give Nog the benefit of the doubt, I still think he's the future UFC HW champ.

Nog 08 baby!

that would be lildeuvesa, but other than that kick he took he dominated the fight. that kick would of put me in a coma and he still came back from that and won.

Nog's boxing skills are way underrated. I wanna see him fight Randy more than Fedor cause I think he'd stay standing and they'd slug it out boxing!! And we'd have us an exciting fight on our hands.. haha! But yeah I agree his debut was impressive and everyone got to see why his nickname is IRONCHIN! He's one of the rare fighters who can make the mistake of dropping his hands like that cause of his chin and recovery..

Nog did dominate, but he should have finished. He took that kick like a champ and was impressed with his ability to survive while dazed, but compared to the Nog of the past, he didn't look that good.

Thinking about it, that would have been a great performance for any fighter but Nog is a victim of his own success. It just wasn't up to his usual standard.

It was an underappreciated performance more than anything else.

But I'd be hard pressed to call it "GREAT". His performance against Sapp was GREAT. His performance against CC was GREAT. His fight with an unbloated, motivated Kharitonov was GREAT. His fight against a guy he had already beaten twice, having finished him in the initial rematch, and who had Nog in a lot of trouble in the opening round...

Like I said: underappreciated given the adversity he had to overcome, how he looked in the last two rounds, but nothing GREAT.

In my opinion.

I wouldn't call it "great" but the people who talk shit about it are really, really reaching. It was a solid win.

IMO, his recovery from that kick only adds to the quality his performance...Most fighters don't get up from that kick. He did, and continued a dominant performance against a very game Heath.
