Big Nog 2 Subs in last 4 years

All you people that think Nog will sub Big Tim must really think Tim sucks. Nog has 2 submissions in the last 4 years to guys rarely heard of. IF he is going to beat Tim he is going to have to out box him is all I can say. I don't think he can or will sub Tim. Big Tim is a huge guy, I just don't see it. I got Tim winning a decision myself....

What would the people say if Big Tim pulled a submission off on Nog??? Would it be bigger then if Matt Hughes would have submitted Gracie???

No because Matt and Royce grapplers. It would be a way bigger deal if Nog lost by submission to Tim of all people. Also Nog has fought rediculous competition when the fight last the distance. I would put money on ANTONIO!

You try submitting the guys Nog fights.

It's not like he loses fights when he can't submit the guys.

I dont think that NOG will be able to finish Tim by sub...

I would have to say that this fight goes the distance, and I have NOG by decision

I think it is important to list who he was fought against:

Herring
Barnett
Barnett
Werdum

Not exactly the easiest people to submit. I would argue that Herring would be the easiest to submit out of that group, and he was able to go the distance in 2 out of 3 with Nog.

He does have 18 submission victories on his record though.

Besides, none of these stats matter when they step in the ring. It's going to come down to who is better on that night.

Its going to be a good fight. If Nogeria wins its because he used his strikes to set up takedown and worked his grond game. If Timmay wins it because he used his size to avoid takedowns and imposed his game plan.

I am more a Nog fan so I want him to win and if he loses to Tim I hope it is a good fight and not a snoozer like Timmay vs Vera.

You have to put that in context though. Of the opponents he faced in those years whom he didn't manage to submit, every single one of them are notoriously difficult to submit (save maybe Nastula).

This is the list of opponents he was unable to submit since 2004:

Sergei Kharitonov- has never been subbed
Fedor Emelianenko- has never been subbed
Pawel Nastula- has been subbed twice, once by Barnett and once by Aleksander Emelianenko
Fabricio Werdum- has never been subbed
Josh Barnett- Has never tapped to a submission hold. His two sub losses were both to Crocop, one was the shoulder injury and the other was him tapping to strikes.
Heath Herring- Has tapped to a submission hold only once... to Rodrigo Nogueira. His other sub loss was "exhaustion" to Evan Tanner of all people back in 1997.
