Better Grappler Matt Hughes or Matt Serra??

Im having an argument with this guy. I state that they are about equal seeing how Hughes never gets submitted while training at MFS and has had some success at ADCC.

Thoughts??

serra is on another level than hughes. hughes bjj mught be getting better but he is still the guy who got subbed 2 by hallman in under a minute each time.

Matt is the better wrestler, while Serra is the better BJJ guy. Two different forms of grappling, albeit Hughes has used his to a higher level of success in MMA than Serra has (he basically beat GSP w/ strikes)...

Serra by a long shot. the only thing Hughes has on him is takedowns.

While grappling each other, Hughes just for being stronger and having superior takedowns. Overall though, Serra has more skill while Hughes has more tools (atheletic advantages).

Very different ground technicians. Hughes classic GnP, Serra classic BJJ. As far as your question, I would call it about even given the outstanding skill sets both possess.
