Best Mount Position?

I think the full mount position is over-rated. It's just too easy for a slickierry opponent to get out of. Plus, I think the full mount lends itself to easier reversals by the mountee.

Personally, I prefer the side mount when I'm pounding someone into submission. It allows me to throw 'bos, hammer fists, knees to the head, and I'm also able to utilize my full arsenal of submissions. Needless to say that the side mount goes well with my style.

While the side mount works well for me in MMA, when I'm with my lady, I prefer the rear mount. A good figther always knows how to adjust depending on the situation.

If you have your knees under his arm-pits and butt on his stomach he isn't going anywhere

yeah a lot of people like side mount cuz they're worried about getting reversed and feel like they have better control

but i would take full over side any day

Yup, side mount is much better for subs IMO. But its much harder to reverse someone from mount with a face full of elbow. Mount works well for GnP and also for forcing your opponent to give up a better position. ie there back.

From side they have a much better chance of regaining at least half guard.
