Why can someone fight in 2 orgs???

How is it possible that for example Shogun has a 4 fight contract that consists of 2 fights in Pride and 2 in the UFC when the UFC hasn't even finalized the deal with Pride.

That's just plain weird, maybe they can even have Chuck sign a new deal where he can fight in another org without any affiliation with Zuffa.

that just makes no sense at all, does it?

How do you know the deal isn't finalized. Everybody claims that, but what parts exactly aren't finalized? The contracts may have nothing to do with that.

If the fight promotions are owned by the same people, why not? They use a good fighter like Shogun for instance to advance both markets. I think it's a great idea.

As for fighters fighting in say a Pride and Bodog...that makes no sense at all.

Who said the Pride deal wasn't finalized?

The fact that the UFC has been using a large ammount of Pride footage in their advertising would most likely show the deal is finalized.

one of the many sites stating that the deal isnt finalized yet, so thats why I found it strange that fighters can fight in some other org
