Well, it's hard to dump your posterboy right in the middle of the biggest media push the UFC has had. But, Dana should be hyping up Rampage as much as he can now.

That's just stupid. Who else was Chuck going to fight at the time? Plus, the UFC had enough upsets leading up to it, so Dana knew he had to make the fight while he could. Jackson, as trends had been showing, could very easily lose his next fight, then the Lidell rematch wouldn't have made sense. If anything, Rampage's nervousness against Eastman probably made Dana make it asap.

Jackson was advertised as any UFC fighter could be leading up to the fight. He was with Rogan on a couple of times for different interviews, plus his training was featured. Sure Jackson/Lidell 2 would have been bigger if Rampage had a match where he slammed someone leading up to it, but I don't blame Dana for jumping the gun, as Rampage looked suspect in his Ninja, Lindland and Eastman fights.

Such bullshit talking about how Dana changed his mind about building Jackson up with a few fights. Dana had NO CHOICE. Forrest lost to Jardine and thus there was no one else better for the Liddell fight than Jackson.

I think Dana made the right choice in booking the rematch early. He should have done the same thing before Wand got KO'd.

i thought it was a good article. it had a strong opinion, sure, but UNLIKE most sherdoggers he backed up his opinions with facts very well.
