ROFL! And the UFC doesn't? The list of overhyped spoon-fed fighters in the UFC is vast compared to Pride. Huerta, Sanchez, Franklin and Bisping all quickly come to mind, just to scratch the surface. Concerning Wandy, Shogun, Fedor, Cro-Cop sure they fought a couple "cans", but all have fought the best of the best in their division.

I thought it was a joke as well.

Could have been written by lilduvessa or another equally useless "Ultimate Fighting" fan.

I said TOP FIGHTERS. Diego fought against Karo, Fitch, Kos, Diaz, Riggs. Would you honestly consider them CANS? I sure hope not or you might have a few screws loose. Rich Franklin wasn't fed cans, the middleweight division is lacking and those are the only fighters he can fight. Just like Anderson Silva actually. Bisping was fed a few cans, but I don't consider him one of their top fighters after his last performance. Huerta was being fed cans, that was blatant enough, but many people wouldn't consider him one of the top guys yet until he's truly tested.

Wandy, Fedor, and Cro Cop on the other hand fought more than a "few" cans. They fought a fucking shitload of them. I'm a fan of all three of these guys and would love nothing more than to see Wandy kick ass, Fedor to get signed, and Cro Cop to bounce back and yes, they did fight the best too, but come the fuck on. It's obvious as hell they fought more than a "few" cans and they fought more cans than actual top contenders. No doubt the UFC does feed cans to a few fighters, but not on the scale Pride did. That's a fact.

All I'm saying is the article points out that the UFC was infact not inferior to Pride by bringing up points to prove that fact. I don't believe the UFC is better than Pride or vise versa.

the article has some valid points regarding cross promotion fights. He could also mention the ufc fighters that have gone to pride and lost convincingly for example chuck and anderson silva(although wasnt ufc then but is champ now)
just to keep it balanced

Agree with you about the article MMAchine. The whole Pride vs. UFC thing is so stupid. There's arguments to be made for both sides. Each org. had good fighters and not so good, just DIFFERENT fighters. It's not like the moment you chose to fight for a certain org. you automatically got better/worse b/c of it... "Yea, I signed a _ fight contract with Pride, which means I could kick 'insert UFC fighter' 's ass." Doesn't work like that. Period.

QFT. There was nothing wrong with that article. TS is only upset because it re-states facts that don't mesh with the TS's biases.

So your defense against Diego being overrated was naming the quality opponents he has faced right?

Cro-Cop has fought Fedor, Barnett, Nog, Hunt, A. Emelianenko, Vovchanchyn, Coleman, Randleman, Fujita, Silva, Herring and Sakuraba among others.

Shogun has beat Lil Nog, Arona, Rampage, Overeem, Coleman, Randleman, Gono among others.

Wanderlei has pretty much fought everyone.

So somehow beating top opponents is negated by beating unheralded opponents?
