Is this article a joke? Its basically a rant on how Pride is an overrated sham and the UFC is the greatest thing on earth.

He starts off by making an excuse for Ricco Rodriguez in his loss to Noguiera and then proceeds to name and single out the so-far lackluster Pride imports yet failing to mention Rampage or Anderson, or all the UFC fighters who got obliterated while fighting in Pride. Its hilarious how the author discredits Ricco's loss then says that no extraneous factors could have any effect on Shogun, Cro-Cop etc...

This excerpt says it all... (notice one of many typo's in the article)

Sherdog, please stop this guy from writing front page articles... if it was just a thread it wouldn't even be a good one.

Please... Jake Rossen... go back to writing about comic books.

I agree with your thoughts on the article, but if you're going to critique grammar/typos, make sure you know the diff between you're and "your"

I agree my typing isn't perfect but I don't try to pose as a legitimate writer like Jake Rossen makes an attempt at. (also made this thread in 10-15 mins)

Just because the article isn't kissing Pride's ass doesn't mean it sucks. All the points in the article were great. Especially the part about Pride feeding can after can to their top fighters to make them seem greater than they really are. Even nut huggers have to admit this is true.

Rossen is a joke , as soon as some Pride fighter do well in the octagon he will write another BS article ...

What about QJ and Anderson ..?

Seriously the main problem is rather the aging of some fighters that are becoming " past their prime " than UFC > Pride or Pride > UFC debate ...

That said it would have been interesting to see some UFC fighters perform under Pride's rules set to see if there is really an impact and if so , how deep it is .
