erm... just because a boxing columnist pays alot of gratuitous compliments to mma now that makes it a good article?
not long ago boxing journalists would just talk loads of shit about mma - and alot of them still do.
they were the ones seeking confrontation and the fact that some r now opening up just goes to show that they reaised boxing is going to lose this fight.
to be suse mma does not need boxing's alliance, thank u very much!

Great article, ironically the most excited for a fight I have been since Fedor vs Cro-cop is for Ricky Hatton vs Floyd Mayweather. That may be because it represents good vs evil though, I think I hate Mayweather more than Hitler and George Bush

This is an excellent, unbiased article. I am curious though; does anyone find boxing more enjoyable to participate in than MMA? I ask, because I wonder who the next generation of boxers will be. I know MMA guys work on their boxing and standup skills, but they have to work their ground games as well. For me, I just found boxing to restrictive; I needed the freedom of martial arts. I'm just curious if some young kid who wants to enter combat sports is thinking the same thing.

mma is quickly becoming an attention whore and due to many ambassadors of the sports own insecurity of it failing again lashes out and trys hard to discredit boxing. Boxing is only trying to self promote like any practical business would do but they are constantly attacked by the mma community. Boxing has been an established sport for a long time and it isn't going anywhere. Next they will start attacking traditional martial arts schools for not being conformist. MMA isn't going anywhere either and it is needlessly attacked as well. Why all of the wars that have absolutely shit in common? people might as well say "Oh the NFL is better than NBA"
