Rob McCullough and ufc?

I live in England and we get 0 to no coverage of any other good orgs. The only stuff we get is off the net and on forums, so this might seem a stupid question if it is been made clear to an american audience. Why isn'y razor rob fighting in the ufc? I've seen loads of his fights and he's brutal, but I know nothing about his current deal in WEC. Is there a reason why he's in the WEC and not UFC? Because he's easily high enough caliber if you ask me.

I wouldn't say he's high caliber after his last performance.

He lost his last fight because he didn't take Varner seriously, and only kicked like 3 times on fear of being taken down. If he gets a rematch and changes gameplan I think he'll win

I agree that McCullough is good enough to fight in the UFC LW division. And I have said before that if he beat Varner he really needed to be in the UFC or at least have top competition brought into the WEC to fight him. But Varner tore him up.

In the first round of their fight, McCullough put on a sprawl clinic. Varner, to his credit, was very persistent in going for the takedown. Varner's efforts paid off because McCullough got tired from defending all of the takedowns and from working back to his feet after he got taken down.

The result was McCullough's inability to get off on his feet. Varner tore him up in the standing.

So although, I do believe that McCullough is good enough to fight in the UFC, now he needs to focus on getting back to the top of the WEC LW division.

Cause one loss in 4 years means your not high caliber?

There isn't anyone in MMA besides Liddell that has as good of a sprawl as McCullough.

He isn't in the UFC because he is used to built WEC. I don't think the top in WEC is much below the top in the UFC and definately above average.
