Because UFC has 'American version' of Arona already, and his name is Tito Ortiz.

Well i agree whit you he would be among the best in his weight class, but as long as former Pride fighters as Rampage and Shogun and Wanderlei fight in the same weight class he will not be a champion.

Arona needs an immediate contract if the UFC truly wishes to be called the premiere organizaion for MMA.

Obviously not if they believe he is anything other than an extremely boring fighter.

Arona's most exciting fight was against Sko.
Arona is perhaps my current favorite fighter and I've found every MMA and grappling match of his thrilling.

But I do agree that most UFC fans are too dumb to appreciate him. They would watch incredible take-downs and insanely dominant position control and not understand what is happening because it doesn't look like most fights that occurred on the A-Team.

I really cant stand arona due to his style but I do have to say if he signs with the UFC Im really interested in seeing how he would fare.

It really is in his favor if decided to abuse the "Elbow" rule he could be deadly.
