Anyone here know a resource that has the measurments of fighters arms and legs? Coz, reach isn't determined by height. For example, there are tall fighters with short arms and short fighters with long arms.

i think reach is actually armspan. sylvia's reach is his height, sounds reasonable

Reach is arm span... you are correct...

UFC used to say that reach was however many inches certain fighter had on another ighter with height.. up until UFC 50 or so, around there, they clued in... theyre so fuckin stupid, and im drunk, and now this topic pisses me off so bad..

for like years i would bitch every time they would show reach, then they finally got i tright.... UFC shows reach properly now.. thank god...

I don't think there is a direct correlation betweem height and arm span. I'm 6ft and my arm span is 6ft 2.

yeah, but usually there is a narrow gap in the difference between the two, as far as i have seen, i've no empirical data to prove that. sorry. people have different proportions, but i think its usually close to their height, barring short or long (irregularly) arms, or hormonal disorders (marfan syndrom) it was just an observation i made

Actually you would be surprised at how big that gap is. Some people just genetically have short or long limbs regardless of height. But i do find it strange that places like sherdog don't mention arm span.

alot of their fighters, superheavys especially have no listed height. alot of fighter's do not have all of their fights listed, or even their picture
