I hope he fights Brandon Vera, that would be a good test to see if Vera deserves a title shot anytime soon. Also, I'd like to see Arlovski fight Kharitonov, that would be a SLUGFEST!!

How could Baroni lose 4 in a row in UFC and then do well in Pride? How could Wandi have a losing record in UFC and then become champ in Pride? How could Coleman lose 3 in a row in UFC and then win the Pride GP? How could Randleman not finish a single one of his 7 opponents in UFC but then knock out Mirko?

The point is, just because AA lost to Sylvia twice that has nothing to do with how well he would do in Pride. Sylvia is a 6' 8", 270lb monster who peppers you with jabs from 6 feet away and has knocked out almost everyone he fought. Most Pride HW's would actually give up size to Arlovski. No one in Pride would give AA the same type of challenge as Sylvia brings. Not to say Sylvia is the harder or easier fight, but just that it's apples and oranges.

Fedor has fought someone the size of Slyvia, Semmy Schilt and won and Semmy Schilt would make quick work of Sylvia in MMA. But Arlovski needs to work a little more on trying to win the fight on the ground!

Arlovski is pretty much the only other marquee HW the UFC has besides Sylvia.
Now that the Sylvia/AA trilogy is in the books, I don't see many more exciting fights in his UFC future. This is largely because of the UFC's lack of a HW division. There's really no one left with a solid rep that AA can bounce back against.
The prospects of Arlovski fighting the likes of Jeff Monson, Brandon Lee Hinkle, Fabiano Sherner or Dan Christenson don't exactly sound appealing to me.
Although a fight with big-mouthed Bandon Vera seems mildly interesting, and a rematch with dangerous striker Paul Buentello(granted he doesn't eat the first puch AA throws) could also prove entertaining, but those options don't sound like much of a future.
So if you ask me, he's pretty much fuct, but that's just my opinion.

The problem with this whole situation is just that there really isn't alot of exciting ufc Heavy Wt. Fighters right now, and honestly there hasn't been for a while. I thought Arlovski could have been and just had a lack of compition (Buentelo???who???), but then loses twice to Sylvia. Now don't get me wrong tim can strike , great reach but, put him in against someone from the old days like a mark Kerr, coleman in his prime, or Don Frye in his prime , with that kind of wrestling/ground and pound ability , and I believe that they would destroy all of the ufc hvy wts right now. Personally I think Sylvia isn't losing for a while, Monson's a great grappler , but like what 5ft nothing, he aint coming near tim's legs and you know he can't strike with him. Vera should stop messing around in the HVY Wts and move down , just doesn't have the body mass , but does have talent. THe ufc's only chance at a great HVY wt is if Mir gets his shit togather, two terrible matches in a row , a loss to some bum and a very unconvincing win at ufc 60, but he's got the ground game, and the size. Well see what happens. THe hvy's suck give me all the rest , really excited for more lt. wt. action!

speaking of AA has their been any release of the results of his MRI after the fight? With AA now having lost to Sylvia twice unless the UFC are willing to bring some people into the division I cant see it getting any better anytime soon. I hope Monson wins his title fight but I cant see it happening (which I say grudgingly cause I really dont like sylvia), Mir... well who knows what will happen with him, and then the list of genuine contenders with exposure gets pretty short. I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC start hyping Vera the same way they did AA which would be such a slap in the face to Tim considering he's the current champ

Fedor is too small for Tim Sylvia? Dude, Fedor fought a much taller person and a world class striker in Semmy Schilt. Semmy Schilt on the stand up would destroy Tim Sylvia. Sorry but Im going to burst your bubble.

Arlovski and Sylvia's role is to fill in the void of the lack of the UFC's world class HW status. Someone will come into the UFC to clean that division up and pose a true challenge to the world. I respect that Tim Sylvia is willing to be that person but when he gets wind of a true world class HW, he will be smoked like a fat blunt. He won't be holding his belt long and he will have to take his UFC HW pics down from his website and put the words FORMER in front of it.

Oh My God!! They really do exist.(SUPER TROLLS) When did TIM get so fast? It would be funny if Fedor waited for Tim to punch first, wait nothing would happen.
