Arlovski should have finished Sylvia with a heelhook

He could have ended this fight exactly the same way he did last time. Instead he ate a counterpunch. Anyone else think he should have gone for the submission?

that would have been funny as hell, finishing Sylvia in the same fashion. Yes, he could but for some reason he decided to end it with a KO and pays for it.

Yeah he wasn't calm enough. I don't think he was mentally prepared for this fight.

I was thinking the same thing, but Sylvia was really holding him off very well with his legs. Check it out again if you can, tell me what you think? I just remember that Sylvia was flailing his legs around like a madman, and actually was able to get up very quickly after being dropped.

I was thinking more of a quick armbar when Sylvia was still recovering and getting back up. You guys think this could have been possible? I've seen him pull it off before very quickly (forgot who he was fighting).

the flury of leg movement by Tim made it hard for Arlovski to grab hold of a leg. He was kicked off

I watched the ending about 15 times. Arlovski went for the same achilles lock as the first match, but this time Tim started kicking violently preventing his legs from being grabbed.

Thread title should actually read "Arlovski should have taken Tim's back when he gave it to him"

It was an ankle lock of some kind. Don't be a douchebag...
